Whose are told and whose remains in the margins?
As many of us know, the main history that is told is based on "white history." A lot of this history is true, but the school system doesn't provide information about the bad, ugly, or they underline the actual facts of these parts in history. It sucks to see that a lot of school systems makes minority cultures look bad or evil. Sadly, this is what many of us grew up learning about. "The white history is the only good side," but that's completely wrong because minorities had to fight for their freedom, and they barley have it, today. Even though I grew up learning about MLK, or the KKK... kids aren't allowed to learn that now, because of the new laws and regulations. Teachers are also getting fired for allowing discussion and free speech in their class about minorities, BLM, and even LBGTQ+, and that's just so heartbreaking to me.
