                       As many of us know, the main history that is told is based on "white history." A lot of this history is true, but the school system doesn't provide information about the bad, ugly, or they underline the actual facts of these parts in history. It sucks to see that a lot of school systems makes minority cultures look bad or evil. Sadly, this is what many of us grew up learning about. "The white history is the only good side," but that's completely wrong because minorities had to fight for their freedom, and they barley have it, today. Even though I grew up learning about MLK, or the KKK... kids aren't allowed to learn that now, because of the new laws and regulations. Teachers are also getting fired for allowing discussion and free speech in their class about minorities, BLM, and even LBGTQ+, and that's just so heartbreaking to me. So do I really think things are getting better? Absolutely not, because so many states are now inse

    Many people believe that it's hard to have conversations about issues that matter, but I believe other wise. I think people believe this, because of the way the school system teaches students. The school system hides the ugly, and truth of history because they don't want to "offend" people, but the feelings they're protecting are the white students, parents, grandparents, etc. I'm half white myself, and I realized that the school hides the truth from us. When I was in elementary and intermediate school, I would buy history, biography, and autobiography books, so I could find out the truth and be able to read the truth with my own eyes. It's sad that our schools are hiding a lot from the students.      I think we need to start addressing matters at a young age. We could show videos, power-points, and even read books to students about the truth. This would allow students to understand the facts at a young age, and not just listen to what's being sai
